We couldn’t choose a favorite, so we’ve arranged a collection of art by the students into this charming “quilt”. Artwork by Ameris, Daniel, Luke, Kathleen, Bailey, and Noah. Among this group we have an aspiring actor, doctor, scientist, choir teacher, math professor, and first female President of the United States. Way to aim high kids!
Neil has created an irresistible painting of Cupid (in his underwear, no less!). He’s aiming for your Valentine’s heart and he’s not likely to miss! Neil loves reading and writing and wants to be a veterinarian and an author when he grows up.
Limited Edition Fundraiser Gift Boxes to benefit Children Exceeding Expectations, a school especially for children fighting cancer. These unique gifts feature original artwork by two of the students at the school, Riley and Maddie.
Riley is a student at Children Exceeding Expectations, and loves being with friends at the school who are like her in a lot of ways. Riley enjoys dancing, art, swimming, cooking with mom, and fishing with dad. Her favorite subjects in school are math and science. Riley wants to be a doctor when she grows up so she can take care of sick children.
Maddie is a student at Children Exceeding Expectations, and loves being able to spend time with other kids there. Maddie enjoys the beach, art, swimming, reading, playing soccer, and most of all…all things Angry Birds! Her favorite subjects in school are science and reading. Maddie loves animals and wants to be a veterinary assistant when she grows up.
Matthew lives in East Tennessee and loves nothing better than hiking in the woods near his home and observing the diversity of plants and animals that live there.
Our Lord Jesus Christ sacrificed Himself for our sins and gave us new life. “He Is Risen” imagines the cross itself springing forward with new life, with a trumpet creeper vine attracting a ruby-throated hummingbird to its blossoms and a family of bluebirds nesting nearby.
A favorite Spring wildflower, the Bird’s Foot Violet blooms in dry, rocky woods. It gets its name from the shape of its leaves, which resemble a bird’s foot. Bees and butterflies love the Bird’s Food Violet.
Look closely at the blossoms of the Bleeding Heart and you will agree that this rare beauty is well named. It is often found in small clusters in rich, moist woods and stream banks in the Smoky Mountains and attracts butterflies and hummingbirds.
The Black-Eyed Susan was originally a prairie plant that has moved eastward with human disturbance. It can be found blooming July through October in moist woodland areas.
Fire Pink thrives on dry, rocky slopes and blooms April through June. It gets its name because each of its five petals are “pinked” or notched at the tip. Plant Fire Pink and watch the hummingbirds arrive!
Amber is an aspiring artist. At age 9 she held her first fundraiser, selling her art to feed the homeless. In 2010, she went public with her art with a note card business online and donates 10% of her profits to feed the hungry. See more of Amber’s art at www.AlohiArt.com.

This Apapane is shown feasting on the nectar of the Lehua blossom of the Ohia tree. The legend of Lehua and Ohia is one of undying love whose bond could not be broken, even by the powerful volcano goddess, Pele. The Ohia tree is the first vegetation that appears on the landscape after a volcano erupts, and it is never separated from its beautiful Lehua blossom.
Most species of seahorses mate for life. After dawn each day, the female swims to the male and they both change color and perform a special dance, which lasts for about 10 minutes.
Cora is a kindergartener who loves creating art of all forms. She adores stuffed animals and loves to play outside with her big brother. Reading is her favorite subject and she wants to be a teacher when she grows up.
The Easter bunny is so busy delivering his colorful eggs that I wonder if he’s noticed the beautiful rainbow in the sky on this bright Easter morning?

Nicholas loves basketball, painting, and his cat Socks. He has been painting for about a year and has just started offering beautiful note cards and note pads with his artwork (find them on Facebook.com/NicksArtwork). Nicholas has chosen to designate proceeds from his Young Artist gift boxes to benefit the Morrison School.
